License Requirements



To use the "Computers Off" labeling logo's and to claim you are a "Computers Off" licensee you will need to be:

An organization or individual that have implemented/activated Power Management on their home and/or work PC and certified under our Power Management certification.

An organization or government department that have virtualized their server or desktop infrastructure  and certified under our Virtualization certification.

An organization or individual that have reduced their ICT carbon footprint and have purchased carbon offsets to become carbon neutral and certified under our Carbon Neutral certification.

Provide a statement of compliance to the "Computers Off" Code of Practice, stating your organizations IT carbon reduction or carbon neutral strategy.

Please note:

The "Computers Off" logo may only be used by organizations that are registered as a licensee with "Computers Off" Australia Ltd and who meet the terms of our Code of Practice

We may from time to time randomly select a number of licensees and carry out an independent audit to ensure businesses continue to comply with the various requirements under the licensee criteria.

Using the logo with the correct descriptor gives the licensee the benefit of using what is to be the most recognized and trusted symbol for organizations committed to reducing their CO2 footprint.

The logo is designed to become one of the most recognizable labels globally and allows consumers and business to develop awareness of the "Computers Off" campaign and logo internationally.

"Computers Off"  is supported by organizations and government departments across Australia, who in some cases have joined as Campaign Partners and now actively encourage other organizations to implement sensible power management and for  use the logo and campaign to promote their businesses.

For a company to qualify to use the logo with the descriptor ""Computers Off" it must comply with the "Computers Off" Code of Practice and Licensing program.

Once a licensee, businesses can use the logo on their website and in sales and promotional material. The logo is available with a number of descriptors and can also be used in a wide range of color combinations.

The campaign encourages licensees to use the logo boldly and aggressively on their website and in advertising to strengthen the collective marketing effort and assist businesses and consumers in thinking about reducing our personal environmental impact.
